Event Details

Hello everyone!

Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and friends at our monthly Habonim Dror Ken activity!   For Ages 3rd Grade - 11th Grade.

Our Ken meets as a great way to connect friends from the summer, and bring kids together in San Diego who may attend Winter Camp, Summer Camp, seminars, and ken activities throughout the year.

We will be playing some games to get to know each other and other fun activities on Sunday, November 20th.

We'll be meeting at the Carmel Valley location of the Tarbuton, Israeli Cultural Center (San Diego Jewish Academy).

Lunch will be provided, and kupa for the event is $10 dollars. Reservation above is noted as free because we are not using the site to collect Kupa. However, we will need to collect kupa to cover the event.

When: Sunday, November 20th, 11am-1:00pm

Location: San Diego Jewish Academy

11860 Carmel Creek Road, San Diego CA 92130.

Directions:  You want to exit the 56 at Carmel Creek Rd, and then turn right off the ramp to head (south) on Carmel Creek.   Make an immediate right onto a frontage road.  (Don’t continue straight to the court) and that road will wind down to the back entrance of the Jewish Academy that will lead you to a gate/guard.  This is called the upper school entrance.  (There is a different entrance – called the Lower School entrance, but you don’t want to park there.)  Come up the hill and park.  Then walk towards the Gray Warehouse building that houses the Gym.  We will meet on the 2nd floor.

For questions regarding the event, email us at gilboa.sdken@gmail.com, or call Eden Berdugo at 858-353-3656 or Maayan Weitzman 619-246-1632.

SAVE THE DATE:  Mark your Calendars for a special Ken Activity again @Tarbuton, Israeli Cultural Center for Tu b'Shvat on 2/5/2011.  We'll be partnering wtih the San Diego Jewish Academy on a planting/clean up project  in Levanna's Garden.

Levana’s Edible Garden:

Levana’s Garden was dedicated in 2005 during the 25th anniversary of SDJA to honor the memory of Levana Estline, a beloved teacher who nurtured San Diego Jewish Academy kindergartners for 18 years and welcomed them every year with a teddy bear. Levana's Garden is an ornamental and edible garden. It has been shown that the more kids are involved in growing and learning about veggies the more they will eat them. It also teaches children to respect the planet and their bodies. We'll help plant, weed, water, harvest, dig.
